Next Saturday (March 3rd 2011) we'll be hosting a gig with the mighty MC/DJ/Producer DreLove!! He can be considered the american backbone in italian hip hop, the link between Italy and New York...as he contributed, especially as an mc, to many tracks and albums that would later become some of the most appreciated joints in italian hip hop history. Check out the stuff he did with 'Radical Stuff', 'Neffa e i 107 elementi', 'Almamegretta', 'Saweshi'.... Lately he's been mostly active with his funk band 'DreLove & The White Niggaz' and is about to deliver his solo album produced along with drummer/beatmaker DRUMZ... DreLove's work has been inspirational for many artists out here in Italy throughout the years, and to us he's a friend and mentor, so you know we're bound to get down!! We will be supporting Herbaliser on the 12th of February @ the Viper Theatre in Firenze!! Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba will come down to represent with they're massive djset while we will be all together, all 10 of us, to open and close the show..!!!.. "2 Sessioni Fuori,Una in Casa e Qualcosa da Chiederti" is another 'one track mix', full of 60's/70's Psychedelic Rock from many parts of this World (stuff from Peru, Belgium, Chile, Russia, Portugal, Italy etc.) some obscure, some not. You'll find some Pokora titles mixed up with post-rock tracks (or indie as you prefer to call it) from the end of the 90's/beginning of 2000 and some more recent stuff like OBO (Oshinoko Bunker Orchestra) or Pavel Dovgal. Anyway everything is "handmade", it means hands on vinyl & live mixing, totally uncut stuff, this is the meaning of the title track "2 Sessions Outside, One@Home and Something to Ask..." We will be proudly hosting Moltoanalogico featuring our friend Cee Mass a.k.a. The Night Skinny on Saturday, July 10th @ Firenze Cite' Aperta within the Limonaia di Villa Strozzi. From 7pm to 2am, from the aperitivo to the dj session powered by an awesome custom made Sound System which goes by the name of Joker Smoker.. The Night Skinny will be doin' his set full of original underground productions including the works contained in his very appreciated first album: "Metropolis Stepson". We will all be doin our thang, before and after, including Digi G'Alessio's Molotown" liveset and Millelemmi and Daretta's "Reading, Raps and Electronics" in the theatre. If you're anywhere near your attendance is strongly requested..

His work is all handmade and when his eyes are tired he boots up his old pc and starts messin with samples on an old version of Cubase Sx.. Overknights is a collective of dj's, producers, mc's and one drawer based in Florence, Italy.
A group of ten with common tastes and different styles, as well as a variety of musical backgrounds, ranging from hip hop, jazz and punk, to techno and many other genres of 'electronic' music. Their particular 'sound' lies between the different styles found throughout individual productions as well as many internal projects and collabo's.
The result is a mist of hip hop, funk and wonky/skwee.
